【習作】In My Dream

In my dream, I witnessed a passenger flight crashed in the neighborhood where my parents had lived for most of their lives. 


I ran into their house anxiously and hysterically yelled to them: run and hide. However, they were standing there so coldly. My mother glanced over me with disdain and scorn while my father reprimanded me: what are you doing here. I answered him innocently: I'm here to protect you and ensure both of you are safe. 


At the last shot of my dream, my father talked to me without any sentiment: you cried, and suddenly I seemed to realize that it is what he is/ they are intending to do. And then he walked into the wreckage which was still on fire and left me sitting on the ground helplessly and tearlessly.
